Description
Increase reliability and put maximum power to the ground in your 1998.5-2018 Dodge 5.9L/6.7L & 6.7L Diesel with the Competition & Race Performance Pushrods (7/16") XD205. In high-performance and competition applications, the factory pushrods are nowhere near adequate to handle the stress from increased cylinder pressures, valve spring pressures, and higher RPM. Just because you don't see physical signs of failure with your existing pushrods does not mean they can handle the power of your modified engine. This is why the Competition & Race Performance Pushrods feature a 7/16 diameter as an upgrade over the 3/8 diameter of the Street Performance Pushrods.
Installation Note These Pushrods are a direct replacement for the factory pushrods in your engine. Please consult the factory service manual for removal, installation and valve adjustment instructions.
The Competition & Race Pushrods are handcrafted to 's stringent specifications. They feature a 7/16 diameter and are built from only the highest quality seamless 4130/4135 chromoly tubing that is cold drawn over a mandrel to increase rigidity and reduce flex. The tips are CNC machined from 86L20 bar stock that is core hardened and triple tempered, providing increased impact and wear resistance. These materials and procedures extend the life of these pushrods and improve your valvetrain's performance.
While the Competition & Race Pushrods were designed for high horsepower applications, they can be used in stock and mild applications for those who like to go overkill or for anyone that has bigger plans for a future build but needs to upgrade their pushrods now. The 7/16 Pushrods can handle around 750HP and are an excellent valvetrain upgrade on stock to extreme engines. Sold as a set.
