Description
The Titan 7010220 56 Gallon Mid-Ship Replacement Fuel Tank will help you go farther between fill-ups in your GM Silverado/Sierra 6.6L Duramax L5P (Crew Cab, Short Bed). This replacement fuel tank holds 20 gallons more than your factory 36-gallon tank, allowing you much greater range between fill-ups.
This Titan 7010220 56 Gallon Mid-Ship Replacement Fuel Tank is constructed from military grade cross-linked polyethylene that will not corrode or cause condensation. Included in this kit are extruded rubber mounting bushings, mounting straps, and a complete hardware kit for a straightforward installation. This mid-ship tank bolts right into the stock fuel tank location with no modifications and utilizes your factory sending unit.

Hellwig aftermarket rear sway bar #7782 is not compatible with this tank.
Curt trailer hitch P/N 60642 and 60611 are not compatible with this tank. Titan recommend using B&W trailer hitch P/N GNRK1020 as an alternative.
GM trucks have the ability through programming and monitoring to know exactly how much fuel is in the tank, as well as fuel consumption based on miles driven and fuel economy. Any large capacity fuel tank causes the float to move slower than the computer thinks is acceptable. When the computer sees this, it will run a system check and drop the fuel gauge to empty. When the fuel level comes off full, the gauge should return to the correction position after restarting the vehicle.
Although Titan were told early on that trucks have fixed themselves after several tanks of fuel when following a specific process, Titan are no longer able to confirm this or any other permanent fix for this issue. If this is a concern for you, we recommend using an aftermarket digital monitor to confirm accurate fuel level when this occurs.
