Upgrade your 6R140 at with the RevMax 6R140-700 6R140 High Performance Transmission Rebuild Kit. The 6R140 is one of the most robust stock transmissions ever put into a passenger truck. One way Ford elected to save some money was by using a cheap molded piston to apply and balance the overdrive clutches. The OE piston design only applies a small surface area onto the steel plate. Over time and with heat cycling this can cause the steel and clutch plates to adapt a cone memory. Revmax's patent-pending ZeroFlex technology completely solves the coning and inadequate apply issues by using a billet apply piston, balance piston, and custom spring assembly. The new apply piston allows the overdrive clutch to apply to 100% of the clutch face surface area. In addition, the ZeroFlex technology also eliminates the clutch squawking issue that is prevalent on many aftermarket 6R140 transmissions.

This high-quality complete overhaul kit includes a 5 Clutch High Energy Forward Drum, a 5 Clutch Direct Drum, a 9 Clutch Overdrive with Patent Pending ZeroFlex Technology Billet Apply Piston, Balance Piston, And Spring Assembly, as well a 6 Clutch Intermediate, and a High Energy Low Reverse Clutches and Steels.

The 2011-2014 and 2015-2019 transmissions are slightly different from the factory. The 2011-2014 units have more frictions and steels in the Forward and Direct Clutch. This kit is a direct drop-in for the early models, but the 2015-2019 units will require machining of the Forward apply piston and Direct pressure plate to run the full number of clutches as listed below.
