Description
The Injen SES9004ICPWR Hot & Cold Side Intercooler Pipe Kit - Red replaces both the hot and cold side charge pipes in your Ford 6.7 Powerstroke. This complete package from Injen is designed to improve the performance and reliability in your Super Duty. The pipes are constructed from oversized mandrel-bent 6061 aluminum, with every bend and TIG weld done by hand at Injen's headquarters in Pomona, California. The cold side pipe features a 3.25-inch inside diameter, while the hot side pipe measures 3.00 inches. These larger diameters are designed to optimize airflow, reduce restrictions, and help lower exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs), ultimately boosting engine performance.
The Injen Charge Pipe Kit addresses a significant vulnerability in the OEM system's cold side pipe, which is known to split unexpectedly, causing loss of boost pressure. The kit enhances airflow balance between the intercooler and the engine, resulting in quicker throttle response and reduced turbo lag for better driving dynamics.
This system incorporates factory-style quick connections, made using CNC machining, that utilize the original equipment (OE) spring clips for a seamless fit with the stock intercooler. The cold side pipe is split into two sections, simplifying installation and using all factory mounting locations for a direct replacement. This Kit also includes high-quality stainless steel band clamps with an inner protective liner, automotive-grade reinforced silicone couplers, and beaded tube ends to prevent couplers from slipping off during operation.
