Description
The Cognito Xtreme Duty Idler Pivot & Gusset 110-91411 will strengthen the front end of your GM Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD. Sloppy steering or excessive play in the wheel is often traced back to a vital component in the steering system: the bell crank or idler arm that supports the steering linkage. An OE idler arm design generally relies on standard sleeve bushings. While economical, these bushings tend to wear prematurely and do not provide any means of adjustment to fix side-to-side play over time. The result is increased component fatigue and decreased steering precision.
The Cognito Extreme Duty Idler Pivot is designed to be a better solution. It replaces typical bushings with tapered roller bearings that are engineered to handle higher loads and deliver smoother, more consistent operation. This kit includes all necessary hardware along with a QR code linking to thorough step-by-step installation instructions for a straightforward installation process. This kit includes an Idler Support Frame Gusset to further enhance durability. Manufactured from robust 1/4" plate steel, this gusset reinforces a proven weak point on the frame, reducing flex under load. The result is better steering stability, decreased wear, and greater confidence, especially for lifted or heavily used trucks.
