The Bosch 2916699169 Injection Pump Drive Shaft Lock Washer (VP44/CP3) from is a direct-fit replacement for the washer on your fuel injection pump. This lock washer mounts on the fuel injection pump shaft before the nut is threaded on. The factory-installed washers are old at this point, and it never hurts to replace it with fresh hardware. However, for those tackling this job the first time, these washers are known to fall down into the front cover during pump removal. If you're replacing this washer because it's missing, you will want to make sure it didn't fall into the front cover as it can cause catastrophic damage if left in there.
