The AMP Research 96240-01A PowerStep Vision Running Boards offer the convenience of a power-retracting step combined with integrated full-length lighting. When used as a regular step, the AMP Vision effectively illuminates the ground. Additionally, this lighting can be customized to serve as accent lighting whenever desired through the smartphone application.
Built from heavy-duty alloy, the AMP Research PowerStep Vision boasts anodized cast-aluminum steps and hinges, complemented by corrosion-resistant stainless steel hinge pins. The step surfaces are coated with military-grade PTFE, ensuring protection against corrosion and wear.
These running boards simplify vehicle entry and exit with their full-length design and generous 6-inch-wide step surface. They feature integrated LED courtesy lights and provide over a foot of drop from the door sill plate on most vehicles. Whether you drive a standard pickup or a lifted truck with oversized tires, the PowerStep Vision running boards make cab access easier.
As with all AMP Research PowerStep products, the Vision seamlessly integrates into your vehicle's electrical system. It automatically deploys when a door is opened and retracts once the door is closed. The anti-pinch technology prevents the step from closing on your foot. Additionally, the Vision running boards offer smartphone integration via the AMP Research Smart Series App. This app lets you control all lighting functions and fully manage your PowerStep Vision running boards through your smartphone. You can deploy the steps for cleaning or lock them in their retracted position for off-roading. The app also allows you to turn on the lights to illuminate the ground around your vehicle in low light conditions.
App Controllable Retracting Step
PowerStep Vision automatically deploys when the door opens and will retract after a 3 second delay once the door closes. The step utilizes a different color light when the steps are deployed and when they are retracted. Additionally, the PowerStep Vision features an app controlled override switch and lighting options for full control from your smartphone.
Lower Deployed Step
AMP Research PowerStep Vision running boards drop much lower than other steps. Most stationary running boards rest 1-2 inches below the body and are often still too far from the ground to be convenient for many passengers.
