The factory drain plug strips easily and once it's damaged, it becomes very difficult to remove. The XD327 features a CNC-machined billet aluminum construction with a knurled perimeter so you can install and remove it by hand, or with a 3\/8\" drive ratchet. This eliminates the hazards of having to replace the whole HFCM due to a damaged drain plug. \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThe factory plug also causes the draining fuel and water to land directly on the driveshaft making a mess during routine maintenance. The  HFCM Water Separator Drain Plug Upgrade has been designed with a built-in retaining shaft that keeps the plug from falling out, and also wicks the fuel away from the driveshaft so you can keep things clean.
