The factory Intercooler tubes consist of a 2.75\" metal hot side tube and a 3\" plastic cold side tube. The Banks Boost Tubes are manufactured from high-quality aluminized steel that is mandrel bent so that they are a constant 3.5” diameter. This allows for a quicker turbo spool and retention of boost pressure (increases density) between the turbocharger, intercooler, and intake resulting in massive horsepower. These boost tubes are coated in a red powder coat that stops at each end of the tubes to allow for a better holding surface for the 4- and 5-ply heavy-duty high-temperature silicone couplers. These boots along with the spring-loaded constant tension clamps maintain a stronger grip to prevent leaks or blown boots under high boost.
